NYDOL impossible to reach by phone or email - any tips to actually get through?
Hey everyone, I'm having a really frustrating time trying to get in touch with the unemployment office. I've been trying to reach them by email and phone for days now, but no luck. It's like they've disappeared off the face of the earth or something. Has anyone else had this problem lately? Any tips on how to actually get through to a real person there?

Ugh, welcome to the club. 🙄 I've been trying to reach them for weeks now. It's like they're purposely ignoring us or something. I've tried calling at different times of the day, sending emails, even tried reaching out on social media. Nothing works.

•Same here! Its so frustrating. I even tried calling right when they open and still nothing. How are we supposed to get help if we cant even talk to anyone?

•Have you guys tried faxing? I know it sounds old school, but I heard someone got a response that way. Might be worth a shot 🤷♂️

•Faxing? What is this, 1995? 😂 But at this point, I'm desperate enough to try anything. Thanks for the tip!

I feel your pain, OP. The system is totally broken. I've been trying to get through for months now. It's like they're playing a game of 'how long can we ignore people before they give up?' Well, jokes on them cause I'm not giving up! 💪

Guys, I think I found a solution! There's this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that actually calls the unemployment office for you, waits on hold, and then connects you when a real person picks up. It costs $20, but honestly, it's worth it considering how much time and frustration it saves. Here's a video explaining how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

•idk man, paying to talk to a government office doesn't sit right with me. Shouldn't this be free?

•I get the skepticism, but I've used it and it actually works. Saved me days of frustration. Sometimes you gotta spend money to make money, ya know?

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for way too long: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if it feels hopeless. 2. Try calling right when they open or just before they close. Sometimes you get lucky. 3. If you can, use multiple phones to call at the same time. Increases your chances. 4. Keep a log of all your attempts. If you ever get through, you can prove how hard you've been trying. 5. Check their website regularly for any updates or changes to their contact process. 6. Reach out to your local representative. Sometimes they can help push things along. 7. Join Facebook groups or other online communities. Sometimes people share tips or even insider info. Hope this helps someone. We're all in this together!

•Contacting my rep actually worked for me! Took a while, but they eventually got back to me and helped push my case through. Definitely worth a shot.

Am I the only one who thinks its ridiculous that we have to jump through all these hoops just to get basic help? The whole system needs an overhaul. 🤦♂️

•Preach! 🙌 It's like they're stuck in the stone age or something. How hard is it to set up a decent online system?

•Totally agree. It's almost like they make it difficult on purpose to discourage people from claiming benefits. Conspiracy theory? Maybe. But sometimes it sure feels that way.

Has anyone tried going to the office in person? I'm thinking of making the trip tomorrow, even though it's a long drive. Getting desperate here.

•I tried that last week. Waited in line for 3 hours only to be told they can't help and I need to call the hotline. 🤡 Save yourself the trip.
