How long does it take for an unemployment claim to be processed by NYS Department of Labor?
I submitted my initial unemployment application through my.ny.gov about 10 days ago and still haven't heard anything back from NYS Department of Labor. My claim status just says 'under review' with no other details. I'm starting to get worried because I have bills coming due and was expecting some kind of response by now. Is this normal processing time or should I be concerned? I made sure to answer all the questions correctly and uploaded my ID verification documents when prompted.

UGH the NYS Department of Labor processing times are ridiculous!! They expect us to survive on nothing while they take their sweet time reviewing obvious cases. Meanwhile they're quick to send overpayment notices if you make the slightest mistake later on.
