Can I still claim New York Unemployment benefits from Summer 2021?

You can backdate claims up to one year, but since its been more than that youre probably out of luck. Should've kept pushing when it happened 🤷‍♂️

Listen up because this is important. You need to document EVERYTHING. Write a detailed letter explaining the situation, when you first applied, any confirmation numbers you have, and why you couldn't follow up at the time. You can request a hearing with the Unemployment Insurance Appeal Board, but you need to act fast. Also try reaching them through their social media - sometimes they respond there. If you get nowhere, contact your state representative's office. They can sometimes help push things through. And def try using claimyr.com to actually get someone on the phone because good luck doing it yourself.

have u tried calling the appeals department directly? different number than regular UI
