If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

It varies by state. Some states do have higher replacement rates, but NY is around 50% with that $504 weekly maximum cap.

This is exactly why I keep telling people to have an emergency fund! You can't rely on the government to take care of you. That said, definitely apply for everything you qualify for and start job hunting immediately. The job market is actually pretty good right now in most industries.

Easy to say when you have extra money to save. Some of us are living paycheck to paycheck already.

THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO MAKE YOU PARANOID ABOUT EVERY LITTLE THING! I spent months worrying about questions like this when really they just want data for their reports. NYS Department of Labor makes everything so confusing on purpose I swear.

I feel this so much. Every form feels like a trap somehow.

Wait are you talking about the survey that comes up sometimes when you do your weekly claim? I usually just skip those optional parts. They're not required for your certification.

0 coins

No this was actually in my initial application paperwork, not the weekly claims. But good to know the weekly ones are optional!

Wait, so if I'm working part-time while collecting unemployment, I need to report that every week? What if I forget to report one week - will they come after me for overpayment?

0 coins

Yes, you must report all earnings when filing your weekly claim. If you forget to report work, NYS Department of Labor will eventually catch it through wage crossmatching and issue an overpayment notice. It's much better to report accurately from the start than deal with an overpayment appeal later.

The whole system is so complicated! I've been trying to figure out my benefits for weeks and keep getting different answers. At least with regular UI it's somewhat predictable, unlike when I was on standby last year and never knew when I'd get paid.

I've been dealing with NYS Department of Labor employer stuff for years and honestly their phone support for employers is terrible. When I had questions about my UI tax rate calculation, I couldn't get through to anyone. Eventually found this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helps people actually reach NYS Department of Labor agents by phone. They have a demo video at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI showing how it works. Might be worth checking out if you run into issues down the road.

Good to know there are options if I can't get through! The whole system seems pretty complex for new business owners.

Don't forget you also need to post the required unemployment insurance notices in your workplace and keep payroll records for at least 4 years. NYS Department of Labor can audit you and they want to see everything documented properly.

The whole system is rigged against working people! They make it nearly impossible to survive on these payments while CEOs get million dollar bonuses. And don't even get me started on how long it takes to actually GET the money...

I feel you but complaining won't fix the benefit calculation. OP needs to focus on getting their wages reviewed properly.

0 coins

yeah mine was low too when i first got it but then they found missing wages and it went up to like $380/week so definitely worth checking
