Wrong W2 amount on return - 60 day review letter - Will IRS fix the wage error?
Filed my taxes mid February and got a delay message on Where's My Refund. Just got a 60 day review letter in the mail today. Found out my tax preparer entered incorrect wages on one of my W2s (the other two are fine). Anyone know if the IRS will just fix this themselves?

The IRS will likely correct the wage discrepancy themselves since they have your actual W2 information from your employer. However, this review could extend beyond 60 days. You might want to file a 1040-X to correct it yourself to speed things up, but at this point since they've already started the review, its best to wait it out.
