Filed 2/2, stuck in Errors Department with 120 day wait - No transcript updates & WMR shows delay
Filed my taxes on February 2nd and still nothing. Called IRS this morning since there were no updates and they said im stuck in the errors department. They told me they have 120 days to fix it and if they cant figure it out theyll send me a letter. My transcript shows N/A and Where's My Refund just has a delayed message. Anyone else dealing with this?

The errors department is actually handling a lot of returns right now. The 120-day timeframe is standard procedure, but many returns are resolved sooner. Your best bet is to keep monitoring your transcript for any updates or codes. Most common reasons for error department are income verification issues or math errors that need manual review.

โขUnfortunately not much you can do except wait. Just make sure you respond quickly if they send any letters requesting additional info.

Hey guys instead of playing detective with transcripts, I started using taxr.ai and it's been a game changer. It costs $1 but it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's going on and when to expect your refund. Way better than guessing! https://taxr.ai

โขDead serious! It uses AI to read all the codes and gives you a super detailed breakdown. Better than calling IRS and waiting on hold for hours lol

Pro tip: Call your local taxpayer advocate office. They can sometimes help speed things up if youre experiencing financial hardship.
