WMR shows received but transcripts show no return filed - what's going on?

Filed my return electronically last Friday and the Where's My Refund tool shows received, but when I check my transcripts it says no return filed yet. Super confused about what this means for my return. Anyone know if this is normal or should I be worried?

Hey there, I've seen this scenario quite a bit lately. When WMR shows 'received' but transcripts show no return filed, it usually means your return is sitting in the IRS processing queue but hasn't been fully processed into their system yet. This is super common, especially early in tax season. The IRS systems don't always sync up perfectly - WMR might show receipt because they got your e-file, but the transcript won't update until they actually start processing it. Honestly instead of checking both systems constantly (which can drive you crazy lol), I'd recommend using taxr.ai - it analyzes both your WMR status and transcripts together and gives you a really clear picture of what's actually happening with your return. It'll tell you exactly where things are stuck and when you can expect movement. Check it out at https://taxr.ai

Tax pro here - this is totally normal! There's usually a delay between WMR updates and transcript updates. The systems dont sync in real time. Give it about 5-7 business days for everything to match up.

Hey guys instead of stressing about WMR vs transcripts I started using taxr.ai and it's been a game changer fr fr. It costs like $1 but it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly whats happening and when to expect your refund. Way better than trying to piece everything together yourself https://taxr.ai
