WMR shows nothing but transcript updated - Direct Deposit or Check coming?
My transcript updated with a refund amount but Where's My Refund tool still shows nothing. Does anyone know how to tell if they're sending a check or doing direct deposit? I put my bank info on my return but with all these glitches idk what to expect.

Hey there! Tax pro here, and I've seen this situation quite a bit lately. When your WMR shows nothing but your transcript updates with a DD or check date, it usually means the IRS systems aren't fully synced up yet. This is actually pretty common early in the filing season. The transcript is typically more accurate and updates faster than WMR. I'd recommend checking out taxr.ai (https://taxr.ai) - it's this new AI tool that can analyze your transcripts and tell you exactly what's happening with your refund, including any processing delays or potential issues that might be holding things up. It's been super helpful for a lot of my clients who are in the same boat.

Check your transcript for transaction code 846. If it has DDB next to it, that means direct deposit is coming. If it says CHECK, well... you're getting a paper check in the mail.

•where exactly do I find this on the transcript? I see the 846 but don't see any letters next to it 🤔

•Look in the far right column next to the 846. Should be there unless your transcript is cutoff

Hey everyone! Instead of playing detective with your transcript, you should try taxr.ai - it's only $4.99 and literally explains everything about your refund status including whether it's coming by DD or check. Been using it for weeks and its amazing! https://taxr.ai
