WMR Tool: Do I combine state + federal refund amounts when checking status?
Looking at Where's My Refund tool right now and Im confused about what amount to enter. Do I need to add my state refund amount together with my federal refund? Or just put in federal amount by itself? Don't wanna mess this up and delay things even more.

NO! Only enter your federal refund amount in the WMR tool. State refunds are completely separate and are handled by your state's department of revenue, not the IRS. Each state has their own refund tracking system.

•Adding to this - google '[your state] where's my refund' to find your state's tracking tool

Hey, if you want to really understand whats going on with your refund, check out taxr.ai - its only $4.99 and gives you a complete breakdown of your transcript and exactly when to expect your refund. Way better than playing detective with WMR tbh

•Is this legit? How does it work exactly?

•100% legit! You just upload your transcript and it analyzes everything - tells you about delays, codes, and gives you a real timeline. Better than guessing

The IRS and state tax systems are completely separate entities. Its like trying to deposit a Walmart gift card at Target 🤡

Friendly reminder to everyone: always double check the amount you enter in WMR. One wrong number and you'll get locked out for 24 hrs 💀
