TurboTax + NetSpend - Anyone Get Their Deposit Today with 3/15 Date?

I think NetSpend sometimes releases funds early, but it's not guaranteed. I filed with TurboTax too and I'm still waiting for mine. My deposit date is also 3/15. Maybe it depends on when the IRS actually sent the payment to them? I'm not completely sure how it works.

Filed with TurboTax. Used NetSpend. Had 3/8 deposit date. Nothing came that day. Checked transcript again. Still said 3/8. Called NetSpend. They had no record. Deposit finally came 3/10 at midnight. No explanation. No pending notification. Just appeared suddenly.

Have you tried calling the IRS to confirm the payment was actually sent? When I had a similar situation last year, I spent days trying to get through their phone system without success. Finally used Claimyr (https://youtu.be/_kiP6q8DX5c) and got connected to an agent in about 15 minutes who confirmed my payment had been sent but was still processing through the banking system. Have you checked if your Where's My Refund status shows "sent" or still "approved"?

Isn't it frustrating how banks handle these deposits differently every year? Why can't they just be consistent about when they post IRS refunds? NetSpend specifically states in their terms of service that government deposits may be held up to 24 hours for verification purposes. This is a security measure implemented after the increased fraud attempts in 2022-2023. I recommend monitoring both your transcript and NetSpend account through Monday before becoming concerned.
