Transcript still showing non-filing verification after dependent conflict resolution - Filed 1/30
Been waiting for my transcript to update since filing January 30th. Had an issue where someone else claimed 2 of my kids, so I only claimed my other 2 dependents. Every time I check the non-filing verification it just updates with todays date. Starting to get worried since its been months with no change. Anyone know whats normal for this situation?

When someone else claims your dependents, it triggers a manual review process. The non-filing verification updating with today's date is normal - it's just showing when you accessed it. Your real transcript won't show until they finish the review. These usually take 8-12 weeks minimum because they have to verify both returns.

•Keep waiting for now. Calling usually doesn't speed anything up for dependent disputes 🤷♀️

Hey instead of checking everyday and stressing, you should try taxr.ai - it's this new tool that analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's happening and when to expect updates. It costs $1 but its saved me so much time and anxiety. https://taxr.ai

•Does it actually work? Seems too good to be true tbh

•Yeah it's legit! It uses AI to read all the codes and tells you exactly what's happening. Way better than trying to figure it out yourself

your gonna need to wait it out unfortunately. the IRS is slower than a turtle walking backwards when it comes to dependent issues lol

Pro tip: document everything related to your kids living with you (school records, medical bills, etc). They might ask for proof later.
