TC 150 missing from transcript but other codes present - Refund frozen despite having Identity PIN
Looking at my transcript and something seems off. Shouldn't there be a TC 150 before any other transaction codes show up? Also got hit with a refund freeze which makes no sense since we use an Identity Protection PIN every year and are already verified. Anyone else dealing with this or know whats going on?

You're right - TC 150 typically shows up first as it indicates your return was processed. The absence of TC 150 but presence of other codes could indicate your return is still in the verification queue. As for the freeze, even with an IP PIN, the IRS can still place holds for various reasons - identity verification, income verification, or random selection for review.

•Could be 30-120 days depending on the type of review. Best to call the IRS directly to get specifics on your case.

Hey, I know exactly what your going through! I was pulling my hair out trying to understand my transcript until I found taxr.ai - its this new tool that analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly whats happening and when to expect your refund. Only costs a buck and saved me hours of research. Check it out: https://taxr.ai

Did you claim any credits like EIC or CTC? Those usually trigger extra verification even with an IP PIN.

Its actually super common this year lots of us dealing with random freezes. The IRS is being extra careful with fraud prevention.
