Should I file 2023 taxes before Jan 15th? Worth rushing it?
Wondering if theres any benefit to filing my taxes before January 15th? Like will I get my refund faster or is there some advantage? Or should I just wait until all my forms come in february? First time filing early and dont wanna mess anything up.

Tax professional here. There's no real advantage to filing before Jan 15th because the IRS won't start processing returns until late January anyway (usually around the 23rd-29th). Plus, you need to wait for all your tax documents which most employers don't send out until end of January. Better to wait and file accurately than rush and have to amend later.

Yes, still wait. Even with just one W2, the IRS systems won't process anything until end of January.
