SBTPG Advance Denial Experience - Anyone Else Getting Rejected?

Filed my taxes and tried to get the advance through SBTPG but got denied. Starting to worry since I really need the money. Anyone else getting denied or am I just unlucky? My transcripts are showing the refund is coming but SBTPG still won't approve me.

Tax pro here - SBTPG denials are pretty common right now. They've tightened their criteria since 2024. They look at credit score, previous tax history, and refund amount. Best bet is to wait for your actual refund to process through the IRS.

ugh that sucks... my credit score is decent tho? like 680

Unfortunately they've been super strict lately. Even 700+ scores are getting denied sometimes 🤷‍♂️

Hey, I've been using taxr.ai to track my refund progress and it's been super helpful for understanding exactly what's happening with SBTPG and my refund. It costs $4.99 but totally worth it - gives you real-time updates and explains everything in plain English. Check it out: https://taxr.ai

100% legit. It analyzed my transcript and predicted my DD date exactly. Shows all the SBTPG stuff too

Same boat, got denied last week. My refund is over 7k too... thought for sure I'd get approved

higher refunds actually get flagged more often by their system

Pro tip: if you get denied by SBTPG try Tax Advance Pro instead. They're not as strict with approvals

Same thing happened to me! Got denied by SBTPG even though my transcript shows everything looks good. Really frustrating when you're counting on that money. From what I've been reading, they've gotten way more selective this year - seems like they're denying people left and right regardless of credit score or refund amount. Guess we just have to be patient and wait for the IRS to process our actual refunds 😞

Same here! Really thought I had a good chance since my credit is around 720 and everything on my transcript looks clean. It's so frustrating when you have bills due and were counting on that advance. At least we know it's not just us - sounds like they're being super picky this year for whatever reason.
