NYS Tax Return 2024: Filing Dates & DDD Timeline Thread
Looking to get a sense of NYS tax return timeline this year. When did you file, when was it accepted, and when did you get your refund? Share your dates so we can spot patterns. Mine was filed 2/1, accepted same day, but radio silence since then.

Tax professional here - NYS processing times are typically 2-3 weeks for e-filed returns this year, but can extend up to 6 weeks if there's additional verification needed. Make sure you're checking your status on the NYS website rather than relying on your tax prep software status.

•If it's been 8 weeks, you might want to request a taxpayer advocate. Something's not right there.

Have you tried using taxr.ai? It's seriously a game changer for understanding whats going on with your return. It costs like a dollar but it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's happening and when to expect your refund. Way better than guessing or waiting on hold with the IRS for hours.

•Sounds interesting. How exactly does it work? Does it just read your transcript or does it do more?

•It actually does a deep dive analysis! It looks at all your codes and dates, compares it to millions of other cases, and gives you super specific predictions. It even tells you if theres any red flags that might delay things. Literally saved me weeks of stress!

PROTIP: If you claimed EITC or CTC your refund might take longer. NYS does extra verification on those. Found this out the hard way last year lol
