NJ State Refund Approved! Deposit Date 3/16
Finally got some good news today! Just checked my NJ state refund status and I'm approved with a deposit date of 3/16. After waiting for what felt like forever, it's such a relief to see an actual date. Anyone else get their NJ refund recently? Still waiting on my federal though... 🙄

Congrats! NJ has been processing pretty quickly this year compared to previous years. I got mine about 2 weeks after filing. Make sure you check your bank account on 3/16 and the following business day - sometimes there's a processing delay between when NJ sends it and when it hits your account.

Still waiting on mine... filed back in February. How long did yours take from when you filed? Did you do anything special to check the status?

I filed around Feb 10th, so it took about a month. Nothing special - just used the regular NJ Where's My Refund tool on their website. Had to enter my SSN, filing status, and refund amount.

Nice! I'm still waiting on both federal and NJ. Federal transcript has been stuck with a 570 code for weeks. I was getting nowhere with the regular IRS number, but I used Claimyr.com to get through to an agent yesterday (https://claimyr.com). Got connected in about 15 minutes instead of spending hours on hold. The agent confirmed my return is just in review and should be processed within 2 weeks. Worth the fee just to stop stressing about it!

100% worked for me. They basically wait on hold for you and call when an agent picks up. Saved me literally hours of my life. The agent I got was super helpful too - explained exactly why my return was delayed.

That's awesome! For anyone still waiting on their federal refunds, I highly recommend checking out taxr.ai - it helped me understand all those confusing codes on my transcript and gave me a pretty accurate prediction of when I'd get my refund. Saved me a ton of anxiety during the waiting game.

NJ has been surprisingly efficient this year. I got mine in 18 days exactly. My federal took over 6 weeks though! Did you file electronically or paper?

E-filed through TurboTax. I'm shocked NJ processed faster than federal - usually it's the other way around for me!

Just a heads up - make sure the deposit actually hits your account. I had an approved date of 2/28 but it didn't show up until 3/4. Apparently there was some processing backlog at their end. But congrats on getting approved!
