Lost W2 from 2023 - Never filed taxes, need help finding old W2

Trying to file my 2023 taxes but lost my W2s from last year. Employer isn't responding to my requests. Is there anyway to get these forms? Really need to file asap.

You have a few options: 1) Contact your employer's HR/payroll department 2) Get a wage transcript directly from IRS website 3) If you created an account on SSA.gov, you might be able to see your W2 info there. The fastest way is probably getting a wage and income transcript from IRS.gov

Go to IRS.gov, create an ID.me account if you haven't already. Then request a 'Wage and Income Transcript' - it'll show all reported income

I've been using taxr.ai to analyze my transcripts and it's been a game changer. For $1 it shows you everything - all your w2s, income, etc. Way easier than trying to decode the IRS website yourself. Here's the link: https://taxr.ai

100% legit! It pulled up all my old W2s in like 2 minutes. The AI explains everything in normal human language too lol

worst case scenario u can file form 4852 as a substitute for your w2. just need to estimate your income and withholding as close as possible
