Can I file taxes using my last paystub instead of W2? Need advice ASAP

Getting really anxious about filing my taxes but haven't received my W2 yet. Was wondering if I could just use my last paystub from December to file? Anyone done this before? Really need my refund asap.

Tax professional here - DO NOT file with your last paystub! This is a huge mistake that could cause major headaches. Your W2 has final calculations that might be different from your last paystub. Wait for your W2 - employers legally must send them by January 31st. If you haven't received it by Feb 15th, contact the IRS.

Your friend needs to file an amended return ASAP with the correct W2 info. The IRS will catch the discrepancy eventually and it could delay refunds or trigger penalties

your employer is legally required to give you your w2 by jan 31st. if they havent call the irs and report them
