Missing W-2 from old job - Will IRS hold my entire refund?
Filed my taxes already with my current W-2 but I can't get ahold of my old employer for my other W-2 from last year. They went out of business and I have no way to contact them. Already submitted what I have to the IRS - will this mess up my whole refund or just delay it?

You should file Form 4852 (substitute W-2) if you cant get your W-2. You'll need your last paystub to estimate the numbers. The IRS might take longer to process your return while they verify the info, but it wont stop your refund completely.

Usually adds 6-8 weeks to processing time. But every case is different.

You can also get your wage info from Social Security Administration website if you create an account there
