IRS Refund Tracker shows 'received' but H&R Block says 'accepted' - Different refund amounts showing?
Filed through H&R Block and got emails saying both federal and state returns were accepted, but when I check the IRS website it only shows received status. Plus the tracker only lets me input federal amount, not the combined federal+state refund amount. Really confused about the status and amounts.

Tax pro here - This is totally normal! The IRS 'Where's My Refund' tool only tracks federal refunds. Your state refund is handled separately by your state's tax department and needs to be checked on your state's website. The 'received' vs 'accepted' status sometimes takes 24-48 hours to sync up between tax prep services and the IRS system.

•Just google '[your state] where's my refund' - each state has their own tracker

hey! instead of trying to piece everything together from different websites, you should try taxr.ai - it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's happening with both returns and when to expect the money. costs like $1 but saved me hours of confusion https://taxr.ai

The states process seperately from federal returns. Each state has there own website to track refunds. And sometimes the where's my refund tool takes a few days to update properly.
