Finally verified my identity with the IRS after getting letter 5071C. Can everyone who has gone through verification share how long it took to get their refund after verifying? Did you end up getting direct deposit or did they switch it to check? Any extra verification or delays after?

The standard timeline after ID verification is 9 weeks, but I've seen it happen faster. The method of payment usually stays the same unless there are issues with the bank account provided. Keep checking your transcript for movement - that's the best indicator of progress.
