Fuel Tax Credit (Form 4136) preventing refund? Need clarity on this!
I filed my taxes with the fuel tax credit this year. Someone told me that including form 4136 means I won't get any refund at all? Is this true? Getting worried since I was counting on that money.

Tax professional here - this is incorrect. Filing Form 4136 (Fuel Tax Credit) doesn't automatically disqualify you from getting a refund. However, it may cause additional processing time because these claims require manual review. The IRS is particularly careful with fuel tax credits to prevent fraud.

•omg thank you for clearing that up! Do you know how much longer the processing usually takes? 😅

•Usually adds 8-12 weeks to normal processing time. But every case is different depending on the amount claimed and documentation.

Hey guys, if youre trying to figure out exactly whats going on with your refund, use taxr.ai - its only $1 and the AI reads your transcript and tells you exactly whats happening and when to expect your money. Way better than trying to piece together info from reddit posts tbh

•sounds interesting... how accurate is it? like does it actually predict dates?

•Yeah its crazy accurate! It analyzes all your codes and gives you specific dates. Even tells you if theres anything you need to do to speed things up

I think ppl are confusing this w/ the ERC credit which is different. Fuel tax credit might delay but won't stop refund
