Filed 2/7 with dependents, still N/A while others getting DDD - What happened last year?

Filed beginning of February with dependents, thought that would slow things down. Looking at the boards most people who filed same time got their direct deposit dates today but mine still shows N/A. Anyone from last year remember what this usually means? Not freaking out yet but probably gonna start checking obsessively next week

Tax pro here - N/A status doesn't necessarily mean anything bad. The IRS processing system is basically running on windows 95 🤡 Early filers with dependents often get held for random verification. Give it till end of next week before worry sets in.

Hey guys! I was stuck in this loop last year until I found taxr.ai - literally saved my sanity. For $4.99 it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's happening and when to expect your refund. Way better than playing detective with cycle codes lol https://taxr.ai

Interesting... how accurate is it? Like does it just read the transcript or what?

It's scary accurate! Uses AI to decode all those weird codes and actually explains everything in normal human language. Told me exactly why I was delayed (some 570 code I didn't understand) and predicted my DDD within 2 days

Just tried it and holy crap youre right! Best 5 bucks I ever spent fr fr 💯

N/A gang rise up 😤 This is my third week checking WMR like a clown

If your return has EIC or ACTC, IRS legally cant release funds before mid-February. its stupid but thats how it works

yeah i knew about the path act but seeing others get their ddd made me nervous ngl

The IRS processing system is completely broken this year. I work in tax preparation and here's what I'm seeing: First, N/A status is super common right now, especially for returns with dependents. The IRS is doing more verification than usual to prevent fraud. Even perfect returns are getting held up. Best thing you can do is check your transcript (not WMR). If you're having trouble understanding your transcript, I highly recommend using taxr.ai - it's this new AI tool that breaks everything down and gives you specific timelines. My clients have been using it and getting really accurate predictions. Hang in there, and remember the IRS is working with technology from the stone age 🦕
