Filed 1/31 with early refund advance - No transcript updates & not showing on PATH

Early filer here - the IRS is experiencing significant delays with transcript updates this year. Even if you filed early, the system might not show updates for several weeks. The PATH act requires additional verification for certain credits, but you should at least see some movement by now. Double check that your return was actually accepted by the IRS, not just submitted to your tax preparer.

Did you claim EIC or CTC? Those usually take longer to process especially early in the season.

Check your tax preparer. Some of these places offering advance refunds are sketchy af and might delay your actual refund processing

Its a mess this year. Called IRS yesterday and was on hold for 2 hrs just to be told they cant tell me anything useful smh
