Cycle Code 05 & PATH Act - When exactly does the PATH hold get lifted?
I'm getting totally mixed messages about my refund. My transcript shows cycle code 05 and I'm on PATH hold. Everyone keeps saying different dates for when PATH gets lifted. Can someone who actually knows give me a straight answer? I'm going crazy checking WMR every hour!

The PATH Act hold is officially lifted on February 15th. However, this doesn't mean you'll get your refund on that exact date. The IRS begins processing PATH Act returns after Feb 15, but it typically takes 1-3 weeks after that for refunds to start hitting bank accounts.

•Pretty much! Just remember cycle code 05 means your account updates on Thursdays, so checking on Fridays is your best bet

Hey! Instead of trying to piece together conflicting info, I've been using taxr.ai to analyze my transcript. It costs $1 but it tells you exactly what's happening with your refund and when to expect it. Way better than playing detective! https://taxr.ai

Used taxr.ai last week and it was actually amazing! Showed me everything about my transcript and even caught a mistake that woulda delayed my refund. Best dollar I ever spent ngl
