Anyone with Direct Deposit Date of March 24th/H&R Block/Emerald Card - Refund Received Yet?
Has anyone with a direct deposit date of March 24th using H&R Block and their Emerald Card actually received their refund yet? I've been tracking every detail through multiple systems and still nothing. This is getting ridiculous. I've got multiple investments waiting on this money and the delay is creating a cascading problem for my financial planning. Anyone in the same boat or already see their funds?

Have you checked your H&R Block account online to see if there are any pending transactions? Sometimes the IRS shows a DDD but there might be processing delays on the bank's end. Are you getting any notification emails from H&R Block? Did you have any fees taken out of your refund that might cause additional processing time?

I just went through this exact situation last week! My DDD was March 17th with H&R Block and Emerald Card. It showed up exactly 24 hours after my DDD - but it was one business day later because my DDD fell on a weekend. If your DDD is the 24th and that's a business day, you should see it today or tomorrow at the latest. I was checking my account every hour until it finally appeared!

Was that pattern consistent with previous years though? In 2023, my DDD was February 15th but the funds didn't hit my Emerald Card until February 18th - a full 3 business days later. The IRS sends the money on the DDD, but H&R Block's processing isn't always immediate.

Did anyone have fees taken out of their refund? I need this money ASAP for rent due on the 1st and I'm wondering if having my prep fees taken out will delay things even more compared to those who paid upfront?

Here's how to resolve this systematically: Step 1: Check your IRS transcript to confirm the DDD is actually March 24th (not just WMR showing this) Step 2: Call H&R Block's Emerald Card customer service at 1-866-353-1266 Step 3: If they can't help, call the IRS directly The IRS phone lines are impossible right now - wait times over 2 hours. I used Claimyr (https://claimyr.com) last week when my refund was missing and got through to an agent in about 20 minutes. They confirmed my refund was actually sent and helped me track down where it was stuck in H&R Block's system.

Has anyone actually verified this service works? My DDD was March 22nd and I'm still waiting. Wondering if I should try calling on April 1st if nothing shows up by then.

I was about to throw my phone through a window after being on hold for 3 hours yesterday š Might have to try this Claimyr thing. At this point I'd pay just about anything to not hear "your call is very important to us" one more time!

I've been through this with Emerald Card for 3 tax seasons now. Here's what typically happens: ā¢ IRS sends refund on the DDD (March 24th in your case) ā¢ H&R Block processes it (usually takes 24-48 hours) ā¢ If you had fees deducted, add another 24 hours ā¢ Funds finally appear on Emerald Card My experience this year: ā¢ DDD was March 15th ā¢ Money appeared March 17th around 2pm ā¢ No advance or fees in my case

I'm so frustrated with this whole process! My DDD was March 20th and I JUST got my refund today. Four business days later! The anxiety of waiting when you have bills due is just awful. I called H&R Block twice and got different answers each time about when it would arrive.

Did your transcripts show TC 846 with the correct DDD before you received your refund? I'm showing TC 846 with amount and date, but Emerald Card still shows nothing pending.

OMG same boat! DDD 3/24, H&R Block, Emerald Card, and still nada. I finally checked my tax transcript using taxr.ai (https://taxr.ai) and it showed my refund was actually sent but there's some kinda hold on H&R Block's end? The site explained all the codes on my transcript and showed my refund was def processed and sent by IRS. Helped me figure out it's not an IRS issue but prob just H&R Block being slow af with processing.

I've never heard of this site before. Does it actually show you something different than the IRS transcript site? I can already access my transcripts directly through IRS.gov.

Has anyone noticed if direct deposits to regular bank accounts are processed faster than these prepaid cards? It's like the difference between express shipping and standard - wondering if I should switch methods next year if Emerald Card is consistently slower than direct deposit to a traditional bank.
