Tax Advocate rejected my case - now stuck waiting 180 days for mystery letter

Called the tax advocate about my refund delay and got denied. They said I have to wait for some letter thats supposed to come within 180 days. No explanation why or what the letter is about. Anyone else stuck in this limbo?

Pro tip: keep checking your transcript weekly. Sometimes they release funds before sending any notice

I keep checking my transcript and saw this code TC 971 AC 052 pop up last week. Anyone know what this actually means? My return was accepted back in February but still nothing. Starting to get worried something is wrong. That's the TC 971 AC 052 I mentioned. My return was originally accepted back in February (you can see I filed an amended return on 02-18-2023), but now I'm seeing this notice code and don't know what it means. I did get a small refund of $147 on June 26, but I'm not sure if that's related to my original return or the amendment. Anyone know what TC 971 AC 052 means and if I should be worried? The "Additional tax assessed" line also has me concerned. Did they find something wrong with my return?

I had this last year! Don't panic - just means they're doing extra verification. Mine took about 6 weeks to resolve after I got the letter.

DDD 5/3 - Has anyone received their tax refund deposit yet?

Filed early March, got a DDD for 5/3. Checked my bank account this morning and nothing yet. Anyone else with the same date get theirs? Starting to get nervous since rent is due.

IRS mailed refund check - how many days until delivery?

After checking WMR it says my refund check was mailed out on Monday. Anyone know how long it usually takes USPS to deliver these? Getting anxious since its a pretty big refund.

2023 Return Filed 2/6: Blank Transcripts & No WMR Updates After ID Verify

Filed early February and had to verify my identity in March. WMR still stuck on processing and transcripts are completely blank. IRS phone rep said wait 9 weeks but im getting frustrated with zero updates. Anyone else waiting this long after verification?
