PATH Act delay got everyone freaking out about their refund status
Everyone needs to chill about their refunds. The PATH act hasnt even lifted yet and people keep flooding the forums asking whats wrong with their returns. Nothing is wrong - you just gotta wait it out. The IRS literally does this every year but people act like they never filed taxes before.

MI State Refund Garnishment: Only Partial or Total Take? Getting Mixed Messages from Reps
My Michigan state refund is being held and I'm getting conflicting info. Called twice and reps said only a portion would be garnished with the rest refunded to me. But when I check online, looks like the whole thing is gone. Shouldn't I see the remaining amount if they're only taking a portion? Something isn't adding up here.

The Michigan Treasury website is notorious for not showing partial garnishments correctly. Even after they take their portion, it might still show as fully held. Your best bet is to wait for the official garnishment notice in the mail - it'll show the exact breakdown.
how long does the notice usually take to come?
Usually 2-3 weeks after they process the garnishment. But ngl the mail system is a mess rn too
Anyone received their 2022 Refund yet? Still waiting after 14 months
Filed my 2022 taxes in February of last year and still nothing. Keep checking my transcript and WMR but nothing has changed in months. Called the IRS 3 times but just get the generic response to wait. Anyone else still waiting or finally got movement?

Can I claim EIC with mostly unemployment income for 2024?
Been working and claiming my kids for years but 2024 is different. Was on unemployment most of the year except for a small Dec paycheck. Had taxes taken out of unemployment. Wondering if I can still get the Earned Income Credit or if unemployment income disqualifies me?

TurboTax Refund Deposits for Texas - Anyone Get Theirs Yet?
Filed through TurboTax about 3 weeks ago and still no deposit. Been checking WMR everyday but still getting the processing message. Anyone else from Texas get their refund yet? Starting to get worried since I need this money for bills.
