dont give me hope like this... my kids need new shoes and im TIRED of waiting š«
felt this in my soul sis š these delays are getting ridiculous
Current IRS employee here: Just so you're aware, deposit timing can vary widely these days. The PATH act still affects EITC/ACTC claims but drops aren't as predictable as they used to be. Your best bet is to monitor your transcript or use a tool like taxr.ai that can give you specific timing based on your situation.
does the irs actually endorse taxr?
We don't officially endorse any third-party tools, but many employees use it personally because it's accurate
My trick is to call at exactly 7:58am and wait in the queue. Usually gets me through by 8:15 or so
this didnt work for me today. system just hung up anyway smh
its literally easier to solve a rubiks cube blindfolded than get through to these ppl istg

what does your wmr say exactly? bars? tax topic?
Your probably dealing with a TC570 hold. Those can take forever to clear manually smh the system is so broken
pro tip: call your local taxpayer advocate office instead of your assigned advocate. sometimes they can help even if they arent assigned to ur case

Let me drop some knowledge for 05 cycle filers with dependents: - TC 150 is just the beginning. Expect 2-4 weeks for full processing - Double check ALL dependent info matches SSA records - Watch for codes 570/571 which can delay things - Use taxr.ai to decode your transcript (seriously it's amazing) - If you hit 8 weeks with no movement, call the tax advocate line Hang in there fam, the money will come! Just gotta stay on top of it.
