570 Hold: Filed 2/2, Congressman & TAS involved - When will I see my refund?
Filed my taxes on Feb 2nd and got a 60 day review letter on Feb 14th due to late W2 from spouse. IRS says it was corrected Feb 23rd with new dates of March 13 and April 15. No updates since Feb 23rd. Contacted congressman April 26th due to hardship, got assigned advocate May 8th. Now IRS wont talk to me since advocate is involved. Left message for advocate Thursday. Anyone know how long this process usually takes with congressman and advocate involved?

The timeline varies but with TAS involvement, you're looking at 4-8 weeks typically. The advocate needs time to review your case and communicate with IRS. Keep calling your advocate every 3-4 business days. The good news is that TAS involvement usually speeds things up compared to waiting it out alone.

Hey, I've been using taxr.ai to track my refund progress and it's been super helpful. It analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's happening and when to expect updates. Only costs $1 and saved me hours of stress. Check it out: https://taxr.ai

Quick tip: document EVERYTHING. Every call, letter, and contact with your advocate. Makes it easier to follow up and prove your case if needed.

I'm in almost the exact same situation! Filed 2/8, got the 60-day letter, congressman got involved in April, and now I'm just waiting on my TAS advocate too. The whole "IRS won't talk to you once TAS is involved" thing is so frustrating - like we're stuck in limbo. At least we know we're not alone in this mess. Hoping both our cases get resolved soon! 🤞
