2025 Tax Season Following 2020 Pattern? Delays and Timeline Discussion
Anyone else notice that 2025 has the same calendar as 2020? I'm worried we might see similar delays and processing times like we did back then. Starting to see some familiar patterns with transcripts updating. What are you all seeing with your refund timelines so far?

The calendar similarity is interesting, but the IRS has completely different processing systems now compared to 2020. They've upgraded their technology and cleared most of the pandemic backlog. Current processing times are averaging 21 days for error-free returns, which is significantly faster than 2020's timeline.
