Hey everyone, I need to submit a new claim and I'm not sure where to start. Any advice on how to go about this? What should I prepare before submitting? I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with the process.

Ugh, submitting a new claim can be such a headache. I've been through it before, and here's what I'd recommend: 1. Gather all your employment info (past employers, dates worked, etc.) 2. Have your social security number ready 3. Make sure you have your bank account info for direct deposit 4. Be prepared to explain why you're no longer working (layoff, quit, etc.) 5. You're welcome! As for pay stubs, it's always good to have them on hand, but usually they don't ask for them upfront. They might request them later if there's any discrepancy in your reported wages. Better safe than sorry tho!

Just a heads up, they've changed some of the requirements recently. Make sure you're looking at the most up-to-date info on the official website. I almost messed up my claim because I was following old advice from a forum post.
