Need help getting SDI payment and approval status update - any tips?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to get an update on my disability claim. I need to know about payment information and approval status. Has anyone had any luck getting through to someone lately? It's been a nightmare trying to reach anyone.

I found a way to solve disability claim update issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olXpJ452fZo

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get an update on my claim for weeks now. It's like they've gone radio silent or something. Have you tried calling early in the morning? I heard that's the best time to get through.

Early morning calls are hit or miss tbh. I've had better luck calling right before lunch. Seems like thats when they're trying to clear the queue 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for the tips! I'll give both a try and see if I can finally get through to someone.

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

I'm skeptical. How do we know this isn't just another scam targeting desperate people?

I get the skepticism, but it's legit. I was hesitant at first too, but after wasting hours on hold, $20 was worth it to finally talk to someone. They don't ask for any personal info beyond your phone number to connect the call.

Have you tried checking your claim status online? Sometimes they update the system before they actually call you back. Might save you some time and frustration.

lol good luck getting any info from them. I swear they're purposely making it difficult. I've been waiting for an update for 3 months now. It's ridiculous!

3 months? Amateur hour 😂 Try 6 months of radio silence. I'm starting to think my claim got lost in the void

6 months?! Jeez, and I thought I had it bad. This system is so broken 🤦‍♂️

Here's what I've learned after dealing with disability claims for years: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if it feels hopeless. 2. Document everything. Every call, every letter, every online update. 3. Check your online account daily. Sometimes they update without notifying you. 4. If possible, fax your documents instead of mailing them. It's faster and you can get confirmation. 5. Reach out to your local state representative. They can sometimes expedite claims. 6. Join Facebook groups for disability claimants in your state. They often have insider tips. 7. Be prepared with all your info when you call. The more organized you are, the smoother the call will go. 8. If you get a helpful agent, ask for their direct extension or ID number for future reference. Hang in there, OP. The system is frustrating, but don't give up!

Have you tried reaching out on Twitter? Sometimes public shaming gets their attention faster than anything else 😈

I second this! Got a response within hours after months of silence when I tweeted at them. Just be polite but firm.
