I filed a claim on 1/6/22 and the EDD has given me a notice of computation however, I have YET to be paid and I am still on MLOA.  On 2/8/22 I actually talked to someone and they said that I needed to send in a proof of residency (which I sent) to be paid and all checks were being held because they have had so much fraud.  I still have not been paid at all and my claim still says "waiting period". I have not been able to get through to anyone there.  What is the normal time period to get checks? and what does "waiting period" mean? I haven't been paid in two months!

Thank you for your response. I actually just got through to someone at EDD after using Claimyr and they are telling me that the Proof of residency has not been uploaded into their system yet. It has been 10 days since they received it by mail. She basically said there is nothing that she can do. I will definitely email my legislator because this is crazy to me.

Your welcome Mia. It takes about a month and more for the to scan it in their system so make sure to call within another week or so. I had to call every week and keep bugging. It was crazy!

I did what you suggested and emailed my assemblyman and they emailed me back a form so they could contact the Edd which I filled out. Hopefully I will get some answers soon. thanks for your advice! This is all so frustrating!

Yes! 🙌🏽 I emailed it back that same day Feb 8 & on Feb 20 my husband got a call back from the assembly member and he got paid today!
