•You'd think after your doc sent those papers twice, they'd get their act together, right? Here's a game plan: dig up all the and from when your first sent your papers. That paper trail could be key in showing EDD that they've been sitting on your case for way too long. Also, it wouldn't hurt to connect with others who might be going through the same ordeal. They might have some insights or even some proof that can help your case. The more people pushing for a resolution, the better. Keep on them and don't let up. You've got this! 💪📃✨

Just wanted to share my experience - I was stuck in EDD limbo for months after losing my job due to company downsizing. The automated system kept hanging up on me and I couldn't get through to speak with anyone. After trying the methods shared here, I finally got connected and was able to resolve my pending issues. For anyone still struggling, don't give up! Keep detailed records of all your attempts to contact them, save screenshots of error messages, and document everything. It really helps when you finally do get through to have all that information ready. The wait is frustrating but persistence pays off. Good luck to everyone dealing with this system! 🙏

•Thanks for sharing your experience, Saanvi! It's really encouraging to hear success stories like yours. The documentation tip is golden - I wish I had known that earlier in my own EDD journey. It's crazy how much of a difference having all your organized makes when you finally get through to someone. The system is definitely broken, but hearing that persistence actually worked for you gives me hope. How long did it take you from when you first started trying to reach them until you got your issues resolved?

I've been dealing with EDD issues for the past 6 months and it's been absolutely exhausting. Lost my job in June due to layoffs at a tech company and my claim has been stuck in "pending" status ever since. I've tried calling hundreds of times, used various callback services, and even tried the tricks mentioned in some of the YouTube videos shared here. The most frustrating part is that I know I qualify - I have all my documentation, worked for 3 years straight, and was laid off through no fault of my own. Has anyone had success with contacting their local assemblyperson's office? I've heard that sometimes helps escalate cases that have been stuck in the system. At this point I'm willing to try anything. The financial stress is really taking a toll and I just need someone at EDD to actually look at my case and process it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

•Austin, I feel your pain! Six months in pending is absolutely ridiculous. Yes, definitely contact your assemblyperson's office - that actually worked for me when I was stuck for 4 months last year. They have a constituent services team that can put pressure on EDD to review your case. Also try reaching out to your state senator's office too. The more political pressure, the better. Document everything you've tried so far and send it to them along with your case details. Sometimes having an elected official's office make the call gets you moved to the front of the line. Don't lose hope - the system is broken but there are still ways to get through it. Keep fighting! 💪

I've been following this thread and want to add my two cents as someone who recently went through the EDD nightmare. After being unemployed for 8 months and dealing with a frozen claim, I finally got last month. Here's what worked for me: 1) I called first thing Monday morning at exactly 8:00 AM - seems like they reset their phone queues then, 2) I kept a detailed log of every call attempt with timestamps, 3) I contacted my assemblyperson's office after 3 months of no progress (they were incredibly helpful!), and 4) I joined local Facebook groups where people share real-time tips about which phone numbers are working. The key is persistence and having multiple strategies. Don't rely on just one approach. Also, if you're tech-savvy, there are some browser extensions that can help automate the calling process. The system is definitely broken, but there are ways to work around it. Hang in there everyone - your benefits ARE coming, it just takes way longer than it should. Stay strong! 💪

•Hattie, this is such valuable advice! Thank you for taking the time to share what actually worked for you. The Monday 8 AM tip is brilliant - I never thought about queue resets but that makes total sense. I'm definitely going to try that strategy next week. The Facebook group suggestion is also something I hadn't considered. Do you happen to remember the names of any of the specific groups that were most helpful? I'm willing to try anything at this point. It's so frustrating that we have to become detectives just to access benefits we're entitled to, but I really appreciate you sharing your successful roadmap. Eight months is a long time to wait, but hearing that you finally got gives me hope that persistence really does pay off. Going to start that call log today! 📝

Just wanted to jump in here as someone new to this community. I'm currently dealing with my own EDD situation - been waiting 3 months for my claim to be processed after being laid off from my retail job. Reading through all these experiences is both reassuring and terrifying! It's crazy that so many of us are going through the same struggle with the system. I'm definitely going to try some of the strategies mentioned here, especially the Monday 8 AM calling tip and reaching out to my assemblyperson's office. Has anyone had success with the EDD customer service chat feature, or is calling still the best option? Also curious if anyone knows whether weekends are completely pointless to try calling or if there's any skeleton crew working then. Thanks to everyone sharing their experiences - it really helps to know we're not alone in this mess! 🙏
