EDD Payment of $4000+ Delayed 10+ Days Since Dec 1 - Need Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I've got a payment of over $4000 that's been delayed for more than 10 days now. It was supposed to come through on December 1st, but here we are and still nothing. Anyone else dealing with this kind of delay? Any advice on how to speed things up or at least get some answers?

Ugh, that sucks. I'm in the same boat, but with a smaller amount. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

I've been trying to call all week, but the lines are always busy. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open. Like, set an alarm and be ready to dial the second they're supposed to open. It's annoying, but it works sometimes.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda steep just to make a phone call.

I get the skepticism, but when you're dealing with thousands of dollars, $20 to actually get through is worth it. It saved me hours of frustration.

Can you explain more about how it works? Do they garuantee you'll get through?

Sure! Basically, it uses an automated system to navigate the phone tree and wait on hold. When a real person picks up, it calls your phone and connects you. They don't guarantee it'll work every time, but if it doesn't, you can try again for free.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there's info there about payment delays or issues that they don't tell you about otherwise.

This is ridiculous. The system is so broken. We shouldn't have to jump through hoops just to get what we're owed. 😤

Here's what I've learned from dealing with payment delays: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of when you were supposed to be paid, when you try to contact them, and any responses you get. 2. Check your online account daily for updates or messages. 3. If calling doesn't work, try emailing. Sometimes you can get a response that way. 4. Reach out to your local representative's office. They often have contacts that can help push things through. 5. Be persistent but polite. The person you finally talk to isn't responsible for the delay, but they might be able to help. 6. If all else fails, consider filing a formal complaint. There's usually a process for this on their website. Hope this helps! Hang in there, OP. I know how stressful this can be.

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely start keeping better records. I hadn't thought about contacting my rep - that's a great idea.

Quick question - did you receive any kind of notification about the delay? Sometimes they send letters explaining why there's a holdup.

Nope, that's part of what's so frustrating. Radio silence on their end.
