EDD Callback Scheduled for Monday - Can't Take It. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I scheduled a callback for Monday but just realized I won't be able to take the call that day. Has anyone been in this situation before? What should I do? I really need to talk to someone about my EDD issue but I don't want to miss this opportunity. Any advice would be appreciated!

No worries, it happens! You should be able to reschedule the callback. Just make sure to do it before the scheduled time. I've had to do this before and it wasn't a big deal. Good luck!

Thanks for the quick response! Do you know if there's a specific way to reschedule? I'm worried about losing my spot in line.

I think you can just call the main EDD number and explain the situation. They should be able to help you reschedule. Just be prepared for a wait time lol šŸ˜…

Ugh, the wait times are the worst! šŸ™„ I spent 3 hours on hold last week just to get disconnected. The system is so broken.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Wow, that sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this? Is it legit?

Idk man, paying to get through to a government agency seems sketchy. Shouldn't this be free?

I get the skepticism, but it honestly saved me so much time and frustration. After weeks of trying to get through, it was worth the $20 for me. But yeah, in an ideal world, we shouldn't have to pay extra for basic services šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Pro tip: If you cant make the callback, try calling them first thing in the morning when they open. I've had better luck getting through that way. Also, have all your info ready so you can get straight to the point when you finally reach someone.

Listen up, folks. I've been dealing with EDD for months now, and here's what I've learned: ā€¢ Always document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and interactions. ā€¢ Be persistent. Sometimes you have to call multiple times to get the right person. ā€¢ Use their online portal whenever possible. It's not perfect, but it can save you time. ā€¢ If you're really stuck, reach out to your local assembly member's office. They can often help expedite things. ā€¢ Stay calm and be polite, even when it's frustrating. The person on the other end is just doing their job. Remember, we're all in the same boat here. Don't give up!

The assembly member tip is clutch. They helped me resolve an issue that had been dragging on for weeks.

Am I the only one who thinks its ridiculous that we have to jump through so many hoops just to get basic help? The whole system needs an overhaul smh

Preach! šŸ™Œ It's like they're purposely making it difficult so people just give up.

Totally agree. I've been saying this for years. We need to put pressure on our representatives to fix this mess.

Hey OP, have you tried checking if theres an online rescheduling option? Some government services have been improving their websites lately. Might be worth a shot before you spend hours on the phone.
