EDD Card Delay: Got 2nd Letter, No Card Yet. Normal?
Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my unemployment process. I just got my second letter in the mail, but I still haven't received my card. Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take for you to get your card after the second letter? I'm starting to get worried and could really use some advice.

Not to freak you out, but my card never came 😭 Had to call and request a new one. Turns out there was a mixup with my address. Def double check all your info is correct!

It took about 10 business days. Not ideal, but at least it finally came!
EDD Appeal Nightmare: Can't Get Through on Phone, Calls Dropping. Help!
I'm so frustrated with EDD. My benefits were denied and I'm trying to appeal, but I can't even get through to anyone on the phone. The calls keep dropping and I'm stuck on hold forever. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to actually talk to a real person?

Ive been dealing with edd for 6 months now. heres my advice: document EVERYTHING. every call, every letter, every interaction. itll help if you need to escalate or appeal later

PFL payment delayed 2+ weeks, missing debit card, need help switching to direct deposit ASAP!
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my Paid Family Leave (PFL) application. It's been over two weeks and I still haven't received any payment. I need to get this reviewed ASAP. Also, I'm worried about my debit card - I think a piece of mail might be missing. Has anyone else had trouble with the debit card system? I'm thinking about switching to direct deposit instead. Any advice on how to get this sorted out quickly?

Hey OP, just a heads up - make sure you're super careful about giving out your personal info when you finally get through. There's been a lot of scams lately with people pretending to be from PFL. Always verify who you're talking to!

No prob! Always call the official number listed on their website, never give out your full SSN over the phone, and if something feels off, trust your gut and hang up. Better safe than sorry!

Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for months: 1. Always certify on time, even if your payment is delayed 2. Keep detailed records of all your communications with EDD 3. Check your spam folder regularly for EDD emails 4. If you can't get through on the phone, try contacting your local assembly member's office 5. Be patient but persistent.
