Weekend pay not received - submitted hours but no payment. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my weekend pay. I submitted my hours but haven't received payment yet. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do or who I should contact? I'm getting worried because I really need that money.

Ugh, I've been there before. It's so frustrating when you're counting on that money and it doesn't show up. Have you tried calling the payroll department? Sometimes there's a glitch in the system and they can fix it pretty quick.

I've been trying to call all day but can't get through. It's like their phone lines are always busy 😫

Pro tip: call right when they open. Like, set an alarm and everything. Sometimes you can get through before the rush.

Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

This happened to me last month. Turns out there was a new timesheet system and my manager forgot to approve my hours. Maybe check with your supervisor to make sure everything was submitted correctly on their end?

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

I was skeptical too, but I was desperate after trying for days. It actually worked for me. Got through in about an hour instead of spending all day redialing.

Wait, so you're telling me I can pay someone else to wait on hold for me? Where has this been all my life? 😂

have you checked your direct deposit info in the system? sometimes banks change routing numbers and it can mess things up. happened to me once and i felt like such a 🤡 when i figured it out lol

Oh man, I didn't even think of that. I'll double-check right now. Thanks for the suggestion!

Okay, here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Write down when you submitted your hours, who you've talked to, and any reference numbers. 2. Email your supervisor and CC the payroll department. Explain the situation clearly and ask for an update. 3. If you don't hear back within 24 hours, escalate to HR. 4. Keep calling payroll, but also try reaching out through any employee portals or chat systems your company might have. 5. If all else fails, consider talking to your union rep if you have one. Remember, it's your money and you have every right to follow up on this. Don't let them brush you off!

This is solid advice. I'd add: keep a paper trail of all communications. It can come in handy if things escalate.

For real. And then they wonder why employee morale is low. Go figure 🙄

Not yet, but I'm working on it. I've sent emails and I'm planning to try that early morning call tomorrow. I'll keep you all posted!
