PFL application not processing - need urgent help!
Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my Paid Family Leave (PFL) request. I submitted the form a few days ago for leave starting from when my baby was born, but it looks like nothing's happening with my request. Has anyone else experienced delays in processing their PFL applications? I'm getting worried since I need this leave to start ASAP.

Congrats on the new baby! 🎉 But ugh, sorry you're dealing with this PFL headache. I had a similar issue last year. It took them like 3 weeks to even look at my application. The system is so slow sometimes, its frustrating.

3 weeks?! That's crazy. I can't wait that long. Did you do anything to speed up the process?

Honestly, I just had to wait it out. But I've heard some people have luck calling and bugging them about it. Might be worth a shot!

The PFL system is such a mess rn. I've been trying to get my claim processed for weeks. Seems like they're super backed up or something. Have you tried calling them directly?

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Whoa, that sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? How long did you have to wait?

It really does work! I was skeptical at first too, but I got through in about 2 hours. Way better than spending all day trying to call myself.

Idk man, paying to get through to a government agency seems sketchy af. Shouldn't this be free?

I get where you're coming from, but for me, it was worth the $20 to save hours of frustration. Plus, I needed to sort out my claim ASAP.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check all your paperwork. Make sure every form is filled out correctly and completely. 2. Call the PFL office first thing in the morning, right when they open. You're more likely to get through. 3. If you can't get through on the phone, try sending a secure message through your online account. 4. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. 5. If it's been more than 2 weeks, consider reaching out to your local state representative. They can sometimes help push things along. 6. Don't give up! Keep trying every day if you have to. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Be persistent but polite. Good luck!

I did check, but there's no update there either. It's like my application is just sitting in limbo 😩

Ugh, I feel your pain. The whole system is a joke. I swear they make it complicated on purpose 🤡 Good luck getting through the bureaucratic maze!

Hey, just a heads up - make sure you keep copies of EVERYTHING. I learned the hard way when they claimed they never received my docs. Cover your bases!

Not to be that person, but have you considered reaching out to your employer's HR? Sometimes they can help expedite things or at least give you more info about the process.

That's actually a great idea, I hadn't thought of that. I'll give them a call tomorrow. Thanks!
