How long does EDD take to process DE 2501 F for PFL bonding claim? Mailed 2 weeks ago, no update

Hey everyone, I'm trying to check on the status of my PFL bonding claim. I mailed in the DE 2501 F form a couple weeks ago and I'm not sure what to do next. Has anyone gone through this process recently? Any tips on how to follow up or what to expect?

I went through this last year. Here's what I learned: • It usually takes 2-3 weeks for them to process the form • You can call to check status, but be prepared for long wait times • Have your claim number ready when you call • Ask if they need any additional info from you • If approved, payments usually start within a week or two Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you so much! This is really helpful. Do you remember how long it took for them to approve your claim after they received the form?

For me, it took about 3 weeks from when I mailed the form to when I got the approval letter. But I've heard it can vary. Some people get approved faster, others take longer. Hang in there!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I know it sounds sketchy, but I promise it's legit. Saved me hours of hold time.

20 bucks tho? idk man seems steep

Trust me, after spending hours on hold multiple days, $20 was worth every penny to actually talk to someone.

Pro tip: keep copies of EVERYTHING you send them. I learned that the hard way when they claimed they never got my form 🤦‍♂️

Oh no, that sounds like a nightmare! Did you have to start the whole process over?

Yep, had to redo everything. Lost like a month of benefits. Now I scan everything before I mail it just in case.

LOL for real tho. Sometimes I wonder if there's actually anyone on the other end 🤣

Heads up, I heard they changed some policies recently. Make sure you're using the most up-to-date form. You can download it from their website.

Thanks for the tip! I'm pretty sure I used the right form, but I'll double-check.

I'm in a similar situation right now! Just submitted my DE 2501 F about 10 days ago for my PFL bonding claim. The uncertainty is killing me - I keep checking my mailbox every day hoping for some kind of update. Reading through these comments is actually really reassuring though. Sounds like 2-3 weeks is pretty normal, so I guess I just need to be patient a little longer. Thanks for posting this question - it's exactly what I needed to see today!

I totally get that daily mailbox checking routine! 📬 I'm about a week behind you - just mailed mine yesterday actually. It's nice to know I'm not the only one going through this waiting period right now. Hopefully we'll both hear back soon! Keep us posted on how it goes for you.
