EDD PFL Baby Bonding: No response after 2 weeks, didn't ask for wage info. Normal?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat! Applied for PFL like 3 weeks ago and radio silence. It's so frustrating not knowing what's going on. Have you tried calling them?

Don't worry too much about the wage info. They usually pull that from your employer's records. But 2 weeks is a bit long... might wanna follow up soon.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Here's what I've learned from my experience: • EDD is seriously backlogged right now. 2-3 weeks wait time is unfortunately common. • They don't always need wage info upfront because they can access it through your employer. • If you haven't heard back after 3 weeks, definitely try to contact them. • Keep all your documents handy (pay stubs, employment info, etc.) in case they ask for it later. • Check your spam folder regularly! Sometimes their emails end up there. • If you can't get through on the phone, try their online portal or even snail mail. Hang in there, OP! The system is frustrating, but you'll get through it.

Have you checked your UI Online account? Sometimes they update stuff there before sending out notices.

Anybody else feel like the whole system is designed to make us give up? It's like they're hoping we'll just forget about it if they ignore us long enough 🙄

Quick question - did you submit your claim online or by mail? I've heard online claims are processed faster.
