EDD October disability payment missing - doctor extended through December. Help!
I'm so frustrated with the disability payments system. I haven't received my October payment yet, and my doctor extended my disability through December. Has anyone else experienced delays like this? What should I do to make sure I get the money I'm owed?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been dealing with similar issues. Have you tried calling the EDD office? It's a nightmare to get through, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

I've tried calling so many times, but I always get stuck on hold forever. It's so frustrating! 😤

Pro tip: call right when they open in the morning. You might have better luck getting through!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration!

20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda steep just to talk to someone...

I get it, but for me, it was worth it. Time is money, and I was wasting so much time on hold.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a record of all your attempts to contact EDD, including dates and times. 2. Double-check your online account to make sure all your information is up to date. 3. If you haven't already, submit a request for continued benefits with your doctor's note. 4. Reach out to your local state representative's office. They often have liaisons who can help with EDD issues. 5. Consider filing a formal complaint if the delay continues. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up!

This is solid advice. I'd add: make sure to check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important EDD emails end up there.

The whole system is broken af. I've been waiting on payments for 3 months now. It's like they want us to give up and go away. 🤬

Preach! 🙌 The bureaucracy is insane. We need some serious reform.

Has anyone tried contacting their state representative about this? I've heard they can sometimes help speed things up.

I did this last year when I had issues. It actually helped! Took about 2 weeks, but they got things moving.
