Claim status 'fine' but no payment received - need advice on speaking with EDD manager

Hey everyone, I'm getting really frustrated with my claim. I called last week and they said everything was fine, but I still haven't received any money. I'm thinking about calling again and asking to speak with a manager this time. Has anyone else had this issue? Any advice on how to get this resolved quickly?

I found a way to solve unemployment claim payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DOd9v1LU_k

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been in the same boat for weeks now. It's like they just say whatever to get you off the phone. šŸ™„

Totally agree. I swear they have a script or something. 'Everything's fine' is their go-to phrase šŸ™„

I had a similar issue last month. Here's what worked for me: ā€¢ Document everything: dates, times, who you spoke to ā€¢ Ask for a specific timeframe for payment ā€¢ Request a claim number or reference number for each call ā€¢ If possible, try to get things in writing (email or mail) ā€¢ Be persistent but polite It took about 3 weeks, but I finally got my payment. Don't give up!

Thanks for the detailed advice! I'll definitely try these steps. Did you end up having to speak with a manager?

I didn't need to speak to a manager in my case, but if you're not getting anywhere after trying these steps, asking for a manager might be your best bet. Good luck!

have you tried checking your claim status online? sometimes the website is more up to date than what the reps tell you on the phone

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone without waiting forever. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth it if you're desperate imo

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things along.

I hadn't thought of that. How do I find out who my local rep is?

Just google '[your state] find my representative'. Most have websites where you can submit inquiries. Good luck!
