Guys, I hate to say it, but sometimes you gotta play hardball. I threatened to file a complaint with the state oversight committee and suddenly my claim started moving. Just sayin' 🤷♂️
Pro tip: if you're really desperate, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes help push things along.
Quick question - did you receive a confirmation email when you first submitted your application? If not, there's a chance it didn't go through properly. Might be worth resubmitting if you can't find any proof of the original submission.
Protip: If you can, go to your local EDD office in person. I know it's a pain, but I got my issue resolved in one day after weeks of no response online and on the phone. Sometimes face-to-face is the way to go!

Here's what I've learned from dealing with EDD for the past year: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if you get disconnected. 2. Use the online portal as much as possible for basic stuff. 3. If you do get through, ask for a direct number or extension for follow-ups. 4. Keep detailed records of all your calls and attempts. 5. Consider reaching out to your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes help expedite things. 6. Be prepared with all your info when you call. Have your claim ID, SSN, and any relevant dates ready. 7. If you're really stuck, that Claimyr service others mentioned might be worth a shot. Remember, the system is overloaded, so be patient but persistent. Good luck!

•Wow, thank you so much for this detailed advice! This is super helpful. I'll definitely try reaching out to my assembly member if I can't get through soon.

Have you considered faxing your inquiry? Sometimes old school methods work when everything else fails lol

•You'd be surprised! Some gov offices still use them. There are also online fax services if you don't have access to a physical machine.
