Workers comp claim stuck - providers giving runaround, need advice

I'm having trouble with my workers comp claim. The providers are giving me the runaround and I'm not getting any help. It's been weeks and I still haven't gotten clear answers or made any progress. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get things moving?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I went through something similar last year. It's like they're purposely trying to make it as difficult as possible. Have you tried calling and asking to speak with a supervisor? Sometimes that can help cut through the bs.

I've tried calling but I can never get through to anyone. It's so frustrating. How long did it take for you to finally get your claim sorted out?

It took me about 3 months of constant calling and pestering them. Stay persistent! Don't let them wear you down. That's what they want 😤

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so messed up 🤬

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Sometimes you gotta pay to play 🤷‍♂️

I've used it too. It's legit. Expensive, yeah, but worth it if you're desperate.

Here's what worked for me: 1. Document EVERYTHING. Keep a log of all calls, emails, and interactions. 2. Be persistent but polite. Call regularly and follow up on emails. 3. Know your rights. Research workers comp laws in your state. 4. Consider getting a lawyer if things don't improve. 5. Reach out to your local ombudsman or state labor board for help. It's a long process, but don't give up. You're entitled to these benefits!

Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely start keeping better records. Do you have any recommendations for finding a good workers comp lawyer?

Glad to help! For lawyers, try asking for recommendations in local Facebook groups or check with your state's bar association. Many offer free consultations. Just make sure they specialize in workers comp cases.

I'm in the same boat. Been waiting 2 months for my claim to be processed. This whole system is a joke. 🤡

Pro tip: call right when they open in the morning. You're more likely to get through and the agents aren't as burnt out yet.

This! Also, try calling on Wednesdays. For some reason, it seems to be their least busy day.

Have you considered reaching out to your local state representative? Sometimes they can light a fire under these agencies and get things moving.
