When will EDD issue my next unemployment payment? Need advice on CA disability claim status
Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out when my next unemployment payment will be issued. I called EDD and asked about it, but I'm still not sure. Does anyone know if I need to order a new card or something? I'm kinda lost here and could use some advice.

Guys, I'm telling you, the secret is to call at exactly 8:01 am on a Tuesday while standing on one foot and reciting the pledge of allegiance backwards. Works every time 60% of the time.

PSA: If anyone's having trouble with their claim, try contacting your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes expedite things with EDD. Worked for me!

This is actually great advice. My cousin did this and got her issue resolved in like 2 days

Just google "[your city] assembly member" and it should pop up. Most have contact forms on their websites

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes the payment date is listed there before they actually send it out. Might save you a phone call!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

For those considering using Claimyr, while it can be a valuable resource for bypassing long wait times, it's important to weigh the cost against your current situation. The $20 fee can be a hefty price for some, so it's worth attempting other avenues first. Documenting your interactions with EDD, checking online updates, and reaching out to local representatives can often yield results. That said, Claimyr has been praised for its efficiency, and many users find it helpful when they're at their wit's end. Just ensure that this is the best option for your needs before committing to the expense.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Log into your EDD account online 2. Check your claim status and payment history 3. Look for any pending certifications or outstanding tasks 4. If everything looks good, your payment should be processed within 24-48 hours after certification 5. If you don't see a payment date, there might be an issue with your claim If you still can't find the info, calling is your best bet. Be prepared with your claim number and any relevant dates. And remember, patience is key when dealing with EDD!

If you already have an EDD debit card, you shouldn't need to order a new one unless it's expired or lost. They usually just reload the same card for each payment cycle.

Guys, I just had a breakthrough with EDD after months of issues. Here's what worked for me: 1. Document EVERYTHING. Every call, every letter, every online message. 2. Be persistent but polite. The person on the other end is probably just as frustrated as you. 3. Use the magic words: "I'm experiencing a financial hardship due to delayed payments." 4. If all else fails, contact your local representative or the EDD ombudsman. Don't give up! It's a pain, but you'll get there eventually.
