SDI application stuck for 4 weeks - how to speed up approval?

Hey everyone, I'm getting really frustrated with my SDI application. It's been a month since I applied and I still haven't heard anything back. I'm starting to worry about my finances and I need this to move along. Has anyone else experienced long delays like this? Any advice on how to speed up the process or at least get an update on my application status?

I found a way to solve SDI application delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1q5K63cB99E

Here's what I did to speed up my SDI claim: • Called every day (I know, it sucks) • Sent a follow-up email through their online portal • Double-checked all my paperwork to make sure nothing was missing • Asked my doctor to confirm they sent in all required medical info • Reached out to my local assembly member's office for help It took about 3 weeks after doing all this, but I finally got approved. Don't give up!

The assembly member tip is gold. They can sometimes work miracles with govt agencies

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so messed up 🤦‍♂️

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration

Can you give more details about how it works? I'm desperate enough to try anything at this point

Sure! You just go to the website, choose the department you need to call, pay the fee, and they start calling for you. When they get a real person, your phone rings and you're connected. It's pretty simple!

I heard they're super backlogged right now because of all the wildfires. Might be why it's taking so long 😕

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was in the same boat a few months ago. It took them 6 weeks to approve my claim! The waiting game is brutal.

Have you tried calling them? Sometimes you can get more info if you actually talk to someone.

I've tried, but I can never get through. It's always busy or I'm on hold forever 😫

Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have better luck getting through
