SDI Claim Issues: Refund and Reapply? Need Advice!

Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my SDI claim and I'm wondering if anyone else has gone through this. I tried to file but ran into some problems. Now I'm thinking about asking for a refund and trying again later. Has anyone had experience with refunds or reapplying for SDI? Any advice would be really appreciated!

Ugh, SDI claims can be such a headache! I've been there before. What exactly went wrong with your application? Sometimes it's just a matter of fixing a small error and resubmitting.

Thanks for asking! I'm not entirely sure what went wrong, tbh. The system just kept giving me errors when I tried to submit. I thought maybe if I start over, it might work better?

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, the SDI website can be super glitchy sometimes. Have you tried using a different browser or clearing your cache? That solved it for me once.

Oh, I hadn't thought of that! I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the tip! 🙏

I wouldn't bother with a refund, honestly. It's probably more hassle than it's worth. Just keep trying to submit your claim. Sometimes the system is down for maintenance or overloaded. Try again in a day or two.

Hey, I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Wow, that sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? How long did you have to wait?

It really does work! I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate. I only waited about 30 minutes before I got connected to an agent. Way better than spending hours on hold myself.

Idk man, paying to get through to a government agency seems sketchy. Isn't there a free way to do this?

I get the concern, but for me, it was worth the $20 to save hours of frustration. Plus, I needed to resolve my issue ASAP. To each their own tho!

SDI is such a mess rn 🤦‍♂️ I've been trying to get my claim sorted for weeks. The whole system needs an overhaul, fr.

Preach! 🙌 It's like they're stuck in the stone age or smthn. How hard is it to make a website that actually works?

Ikr? It's 2023, ffs. We can order food with a click but can't file a simple claim without it turning into a whole saga 🙄

Listen up, folks. I've been through the SDI claim process multiple times, and I've learned a few tricks. Here's what you need to know: • First, always double-check your information before submitting. One wrong digit can cause major headaches. • If you're getting errors, try a different browser or device. The site doesn't play nice with some setups. • Keep all your documentation handy. You might need to provide additional info at any time. • If you can't get through online, calling early in the morning (right when they open) or late in the day (an hour before closing) can increase your chances of reaching someone. • Be persistent! Sometimes it takes multiple attempts to get your claim through. • If all else fails, consider reaching out to your local state representative's office. They can sometimes help push things along. Remember, the system is frustrating, but stay calm and keep at it. You'll get there eventually!

I feel your pain, OP. I was in the same boat last month. Hang in there!

Thanks for the support! How did you end up resolving your issue?

Honestly? A lot of patience and a bit of luck. I kept calling and eventually got through to someone who could help. It's a grind, but don't give up!

Hey Tristan! I went through something similar a few months ago. Before you go the refund route, I'd suggest trying what Sofia mentioned about using a different browser first - that actually worked for me when I was getting constant error messages. Also, make sure you're not using any browser extensions that might be interfering (ad blockers, etc.). If you're still stuck after trying the technical fixes, calling really is your best bet. I know it's a pain, but I had success calling right at 8am when they open - got through on my third try. The refund process can take weeks and then you're basically starting from scratch, so it's usually faster to just troubleshoot the current application. Good luck! 🤞
