Finally got through to EDD about SDI claim - paperwork issues being resolved

Hey everyone, just wanted to share some good news! Finally got through to EDD about my disability claim. It's been a real headache with all the paperwork issues, but looks like theres light at the end of the tunnel. They said it should be fixed soon. Anyone else dealing with similar stuff? How long did it take for you?

Congrats on the progress! Here's some advice for others still struggling: • Call early in the morning, right when they open • Have all your paperwork and claim info ready • Be patient but persistent • Ask for a supervisor if you're not getting anywhere • Consider using a call-back service if you're really stuck • Keep detailed notes of all your calls and who you spoke to • Check your online account regularly for updates Don't give up! It can be frustrating, but keep at it. You'll get there eventually.

Has anyone tried faxing their documents instead of mailing? Heard it might be faster

Faxing can sometimes be quicker than mailing, as it allows documents to be directly entered into the system. It's worth trying if you're facing delays.

I found a way to get someone on the phone fast. Used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

$20 just to talk to someone? Thats crazy. The system is so messed up

I've heard mixed reviews about Claimyr. Some users find it helpful, but it's important to remember that it's a paid service and results can vary.

EDD is a joke. I've called 100 times and still can't get through. This whole system needs an overhaul.

I feel you. It's incredibly frustrating. Maybe try reaching out to your local representative for some assistance?

I used Claimyr once, and it was quite effective for getting through to EDD. However, $20 can be steep for many people, especially if you have to use it multiple times. It's good to explore free alternative methods first, like calling at off-peak hours or trying different numbers. But if those don't work, Claimyr is a viable option to consider.
